We're a group of friends from the North East of England who decided to try out Texas Hold'em one night, and now we're hooked!
We've been playing for about three years and now have our own league:
Prudhoe Poker League ('PPL')
During this time we have also visited various casinos around the Newcastle upon Tyne area to see how we'd cope against the sharks & fish out there! And while we ain't earned enough to retire yet, we've had some very respectable finishes and good cash payouts in some tough multi-player tournaments. One of which being the largest live tournament in Newcastle, the Friday night Freezeout held at Aspers Casino, which usually attracts around 150 starters.
We all have jobs, some of us have children and wives, so we don't always have the time we'd like to trawl the Poker rooms and casino's. So we play as and when we can in our regular home games.
But we will be back to the bright lights eventually, so........
